Live tank circuit breaker

GL 310
Live Tank circuit breakers

Rated voltage: 100 kV

Rated frequency: 50 Hz

Rated operating current: up to 3150 A

Disconnection current at short circuit: up to 40 kA

Reliability even in the coldest regions:

Up to -40 °C with pure SF6

Up to -60 °C with mixed gases

Quick and easy installation and commissioning

Long intervals between inspections

GE’s GL 310 live tank circuit breakers for outdoor installations are designed to operate at temperatures down to -60°C with mixed gases and -40°C with pure SF6 and are equipped with the latest technologies in the field of switching chambers and spring mechanisms. Our latest “double motion” technology effectively reduces opening energy by approximately 65%.

GE live tank circuit breakers provide a high level of reliability, even in extreme conditions and climates or in areas with high seismic activity. The junction chambers can be independently removed without dismantling the entire column, and the pole assemblies are factory filled before shipping.

Components

  • Combining chamber with “double motion” technology and self-exhaust technology
  • Pressure relief system for passive protection of stations and service personnel
  • Reliable, temperature-compensated density meter with two-stage signaling and three-color indicator
  • Easy access to the SF filling valve6 (DILO type)
  • Non-return (control) SF valve6 on each pole
  • Protected opening spring inside each pole
  • Hot galvanized steel parts
  • The housing of the drive mechanism is made entirely of aluminum
  • Reliable spring mechanism with a position indicator easily visible from the outside

Options

  • Composite insulators
  • Larger pole spacing available on request
  • CBWatch monitoring system
  • RPH3 (F3) controller

Installation and maintenance

  • Factory adjustment before shipment – no adjustment during installation or commissioning
  • Disassembly of the connection chamber is possible without removing the entire column
  • Circuit breaker with individual drives for each pole partially assembled before delivery (base with mounted and wired drives)

Testing

Live tank switches meet the requirements of national and international standards. This has been confirmed by comprehensive type tests based on the latest versions of IEC, GOST and ANSI standards.

Quality

The development and production procedures of our live tank switches are fully compliant with the latest ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. This ensures the highest quality of both our products and services, which is confirmed by regular audits.
