GE’s GL 316 and GL 316X live tank circuit breakers for overhead installations are equipped with third-generation self-blowing switching chambers and spring actuators (FK). These reliable connection chambers operate on the principle of energy-optimized self-exhaust. FK3 type mechanisms equip the entire range of circuit breakers with over 180,000 references around the world.

GL 316 and GL 316X drives are reliable and tested in high voltage switchboards, confirming high mechanical durability and very low probability of re-tripping in accordance with the IEC 622271-100 standard class M2 and C2. The switches have a disconnect option for quick and easy installation. To simplify maintenance, the closing resistor is located in the same gas volume as the breaker compartment.
