Live tank circuit breaker

GL 311
Live tank circuit breaker

Rated voltage: 123kV

Rated frequency: 50 Hz

Rated operating current: up to 3150 A

Short circuit breaking current: up to 40kA
.
Reliability even in the coldest regions:

Up to -40 °C with pure SF6

Up to -60 °C with gas mixtures

Quick and easy installation and commissioning

Long maintenance intervals

The GE GL 311 switches for outdoor installation are designed to operate at temperatures down to -60°C with mixed gases and -40°C with pure SF6 and feature the latest technology in switching chambers and spring mechanisms. Our latest “double motion” technology effectively reduces opening energy by approximately 65%.

GE’s live tank switches provide a high level of reliability, even in extreme conditions and climates or in areas with high seismic hazard. The switching chambers can be dismantled independently without having to dismantle the entire column, and the pole assemblies are factory filled before shipping.

Components

  • Connecting chamber with “double motion” and self-inflating technology
  • Pressure relief system for passive protection of the station and the operating personnel
  • Reliable, temperature-compensated density meter with two-stage display and three-color display
  • Easy access to the SF6 filling valve (type DILO)
  • Free (control) SF6 valve on each pole
  • Secured opening spring inside each mast
  • Hot-dip galvanized steel parts
  • Housing of the drive mechanism made entirely of aluminum
  • Reliable spring mechanism with position indicator that is clearly visible from the outside

Options

  • Composite insulators
  • Larger pole distances available on request
  • CBWatch monitoring system
  • RPH3 control (F3)

Installation and maintenance

Adjustment at the factory before shipping – no adjustment during installation or commissioning
The switching chamber can be dismantled without removing the entire column
Switch with individual actuators for each pole partially assembled before delivery (base with actuators mounted and wired)

Test

The “Live Tank” switches meet the requirements of national and international standards. This has been confirmed by comprehensive type testing based on the latest versions of IEC, GOST and ANSI standards.

Quality

The development and production processes for our live tank switches fully comply with the latest standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. This ensures the highest quality of our products and services, which is confirmed by regular audits.
