Live tank circuit breaker

GE’s GL 308/309 live tank circuit breakers for overhead installations are equipped with third-generation self-exhaust switching chambers and spring actuators. The reliable connection chamber works on the principle of energy-optimized self-exhaust. Live tank circuit breakers provide customers with a high level of reliability, even in extremely difficult conditions and climates or in areas with high seismic activity.

The switches are pre-adjusted, filled with SF₆ and fully assembled at the factory before shipment. Thanks to this pre-assembly, no adjustments are necessary during installation and commissioning of the circuit breaker, allowing for quick and easy on-site installation with long maintenance intervals. Moreover, the switching compartment of the circuit breaker can be independently dismantled without dismantling the entire pole column.
